The Staff and Board of Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow are proud to announce our new name: Honey Hollow Nature Center, reflecting our environmentally focused activities.
We remain affiliated with the National Audubon Society and we love birds and birding, but our mission-driven work also includes advocacy for land preservation, environmental education for all ages, and horticulture programs for those with special needs. Our Honey Hollow Nature Center is located on the Honey Hollow Watershed, a National Historic Landmark.
We began with the name Honey Hollow Watershed Association, later changing it to Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow. Because both were a mouthful, many people have long referred to us as simply ‘Honey Hollow.’ Calling our organization the Honey Hollow Nature Center maintains that continuity.
We are aware of the controversy surrounding the pro-slavery writings and actions of John James Audubon; our goal with our new name is to be more inclusive as we connect with and serve people in Bucks County and beyond.
Our new website is HoneyHollowNatureCenter.org. Please visit us at our 55-acre campus, located at 2877 Creamery Road in Solebury Township.
