Kin Wellness and Support Center partners with the Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling

Posted

Kin Wellness and Support Center, the non-profit offering free services to the Bucks County cancer community, is thrilled to announce a collaborative partnership with the highly regarded Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling in Chalfont.  Through Kin’s Remote Care Program, The Center will offer Kin guests, including patients and caregivers, free therapy support.

This partnership allows Kin to send guests to The Center for up to 12 visits of free counseling sessions.  This opportunity was brokered by Kin’s in-house therapist, Dr. Mary Brownsberger who has had an extensive career most recently at The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, leading the department of Rehabilitation Neuropsychologists.

Dr. Mary G. Brownsberger, PsyD, ABPP shares, “I am so pleased to be able to facilitate this partnership and bring several skilled providers at The Center to offer free counseling services to Kin guests, which will more than double Kin’s current capacity to meet the need. For this high-end, high-quality, and very busy practice to set aside time to serve Kin guests speaks volumes about how they value community, and their strong commitment to serve those in need.   This partnership expands the non-profit’s mantra of ‘By the Community, For the Community’.  I hope this model inspires other local business and private practices to follow The Center’s lead.  There is such a high demand for counseling services for those impacted by cancer; any donated service, large or small, can make a huge difference.”

The Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling is run by Dr. Stone and Dr. Christina Carson-Sacco who manage a talented team of nearly 20 professionals in two locations.  Featured services include: Anxiety/Stress Management and Depression, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorders, Children & Teens, Cogmed Working Memory Training, Cognitive Rehabilitative Therapy, Concussion Assessment and Management, Couples Therapy/Marriage Counseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Driving Safety Screenings, Evaluations and Testing, Family Therapy, Individual Therapy, Neuropsychological Assessments, Pregnancy and Postpartum Support, Social Skills Training – Individual and Groups.

Dr. Lorna Jansen of The Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling shares

"It is a privilege to provide a supportive place for Kin guests here at The Center. We are grateful for the opportunity to be involved in their care at this important time."

Dr. Christina Carson-Sacco, a partner in the practice, adds,

"We appreciate the trust Kin and their guests have placed in our team at The Center."

“As we work to fulfill our mission to provide free services that support the mental, physical, and social needs of those touched by cancer locally in Bucks County, we must lean on a multitude of experts in a variety of modalities and industries. The people at The Center for Neuropsychology & Counseling, led by Dr. Stone and Dr. Carson-Sacco are the top in their field.  We are so grateful to be able to add them to our Kin Remote Care Program, as they support our Kin Community by donating their expertise in this meaningful way,” shares the Executive Board member and Director of Kin Wellness and Support Center, Kristina Fenimore.
