Best-selling author and inspirational speaker Kevin Hines will share his story of hope and celebration of life as the keynote speaker at the 2025 Suicide Prevention Conference.
Presented by Lenape Valley Foundation, the conference will be held Oct. 10 from 8 am to 3:30 pm in the Zlock Performing Arts Center at the Bucks County Community College campus at 275 Swamp Rd. in Newtown.
The annual conference brings together professionals and community members alike for sessions that explore innovative practices and compassionate approaches to preventing suicide and promoting well-being for all. Open to the public, the conference is approved for five continuing education hours for professionals.
"This conference is for anyone committed to creating a world where mental health and hope thrive,” said Dave Herold, Lenape Valley Foundation CEO. "Whether you’re a clinician, caregiver, educator, advocate, or someone passionate about mental wellness, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and help save lives.”
This year’s powerful lineup features Hines, an internationally acclaimed suicide prevention advocate, as keynote speaker. When he was 19, Hines attempted to take his own life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. He is one of only 34 (less than 1%) people to survive the fall. Now, he reaches global audiences with his story of survival and the will to live, presenting a peer-reviewed, evidence-based session that focuses on suicide prevention, wellness, stress, brain fitness, family issues, caregiving, youth trauma, resilience and recovery.
