Trevose Horticultural Society sets June meeting date

Posted

“Entering a Flower Show, Design It, Grow It, Show It!” is the topic of the Trevose Horticultural Society’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 7 p.m. at the Bensalem Senior Center, 1850 Byberry Road in Bensalem.

Our June program will be a lively, interactive, user-friendly review of how to enter horticulture and design in an NGC flower show. Karen Wychock, a Life National Garden Club (NGC) judge, will explain how to ‘grow and show horticulture specimens for entry in this year’s patriotic-themed annual flower show “Red, White and Bloom”.

Karen’s demonstration will also include National Garden Club design styles with helpful pointers in creating and entering floral designs. Horticulture displays, functional tables, traditional mass, tea tray and reflective designs are a few of the featured classes.

If you have never entered a flower show or if you are an ‘old hat’ at entering, you will walk away with some new information and creative ideas for our upcoming flower show, “Red, White and Bloom.”  Questions are also encouraged!

All meetings are open to the public; all are welcome, $5 to observe.  For further information, contact 856-866-9163, or visit trevosegardeners.com
